As a tutor, my responsibilities included:

Advised students on performance, to increase effectiveness in the classroom and the workplace. Attended graduation ceremonies and showed support for students with little support systems.
As a substitute teacher, my responsibilities included:
Enter a classroom; control of the classroom; follow lesson plans set out by the teacher;  taking roll; teach and reinforce concepts previously introduced; use a Smart Board; incorporate technology into the learning experience; and grade papers.

I introduced hundreds of children aged 6-13 to the archery range, including approach, skills, directives, clean up, and organized departure.
I was invited to attend several in person and online training sessions, as well as planning and informational meetings, in order to maintain and advance my own scouting education.

I have worked with children of all ages and all abilities to help achieve their sports-related short-term goals. I have volunteered with programs such as Basketball, Baseball, Swimming, Gymnastics, track and Field, etc.
I also developed and supervised an all-inclusive art activity day for all ages and all abilities. I researched, solicited, and accepted small donations in order to create a better art friendly environment. I was in charge of 10+ volunteers, who subsequently ran the stations involved, and oversaw the set up and clean up of the space. I adjusted each activity to the children’s ability levels and sensory tolerances. I applied art education knowledge to the exploration of new devices for communication through artwork.

I have been a Volunteer for five years, and a Lead for four years. I have worked with groups of general volunteers ranging from 2-100. I helped to coordinate over 1000 guests in lines following fire code guidelines, arranged seating for handicapped individuals, and developed a plan for entry and exit without over-crowding any areas within the convention.
I coordinated breaks, rotations, and job duties as needed; Requested more help or offered help as needed; and worked directly with Audio and Visual Operations to maintain a fluid environment for the guests. I moderated a panel, escorted celebrities from their tables, to their panels and back again. I assisted in supervising the entry of close to 30,000 individuals first thing in the morning, offering direction, answering questions, and assisting in maintaining a sense of order.
Our jobs as leads are to ensure the volunteers continue to operate at a pace and expectation that ensure the guests have a memorable time.

I worked under a lead to run the Cosplay Contest: recruiting cosplayers, formalizing applications, organizing categories, procuring prizes, and keeping contestants, judges, emcee’s informed and up to date on happenings.
I worked under a different lead to promote celebrity interactions: including autographs, meetings, and selfies; Worked a QR scanner to track purchases; offered crowd control.

In October, I worked with a team to ensure a smooth running autograph and photo opportunity for each guest that visited a particular celebrity. This included crowd control, promoting celebrity interaction, and strategic planning within our team to be sure of job and protocol during the event.
