An Anonymous Girl

By Greer Hendricks & Sarah Pekkanen. *Advanced Reader Copy*

In case you have never heard of the authors:

Sarah Pekkanen was a journalist with major publications, and then later, wrote several solo novels. She currently lives in Washington, D.C.

Greer Hendricks is the co-author of this book and one other with Pekkanen. She wrote for major publications. She currently lives in New York.

In case you have never heard of the book:

Jessica Farris is a make up artist living paycheck to paycheck, while helping care for her sister from afar, and hiding secrets from her family and friends.

Dr Lydia Shields is a psychologist for a university, an author, and she is conducting a study on morality.

Thomas is Dr Shield’s husband. How is he involved? What is his story? How do the character’s paths cross?

What was my opinion of this book:

This novel was a thriller, suspenseful, and a delicately woven tale of deceit. The language was excellent, the doctor speaking in a mannerly way. The story was written almost as journal entries, from two perspectives, which makes it difficult to maintain a flow at times. Otherwise, it kept me riveted, and excited to get to the end. Overall, good selection. Would recommend.

The marketing team for this book went above and beyond, as well, y’all. They sent out business cards and beauty blenders for Jessica, the main character.
