YOU

A Novel by Caroline Kepnes

In case you have never heard of the author:

Born in Massachusetts, she has written for tv news and series. She now lives in California, and has written three best selling novels.

In case you have never heard of the book :

It is a psychological thriller, told in the first person of the main male character, Joe. Joe works in a book store, is well-read and funny, and attracted to Beck. Beck is a college student, earning an MFA in writing in New York. The story is about the lengths that Joe will go to in order to make a relationship happen with Beck, and then maintain it.

My opinion of the book:

I thoroughly enjoyed this smart, thrilling love story of modern times. By modern, I mean that themes of living in the public eye by posting your entire life on social media are covered in depth, and used to produce tension and suspense. It does make me wonder what lengths people go to in order to find connections and make up commonalities that may have never otherwise existed. This book was eye-opening, suspenseful, and intelligent. The vocabulary was modern, and exceptional. I had to lookup two words. I will let you find them on your own. ☺️

Have you read this book? Were you as creeped out about it as I was? Drop me a line and let me know what you thought.
